Due to the hands on approach and diligent work ethic of Brian Armstead, and the fun, exciting yet informative classes of Whitney Brodsky, I was able to acquire and rapidly apply the knowledge and confidence needed to secure a job in the bar industry. I was hired as a bar manager for Horizon Cruises. Due to the extensive knowledge and helpful personalities of the staff, I found the school fun and extremely rewarding. I have had the pleasure of becoming a certified bartender at Authentic Bartending School. The staff at Authentic are all genuine and friendly and know how to get the job done. I realized this after visiting other bartending schools and observing their staff. There was no pressure to leave a deposit upon my first visit there, no false advertisements or promises to make thousands your first week out of bartending school. It is a friendly environment with real bartenders offering their expertise and insight to those who are eager and willing to learn.
I received a quality education from skilled professionals who have been in the business for years. Jerry Murdock, an instructor, spoke to me about what this school could offer me - no gimmicks or aggression, just the good honest truth. I was given a great deal. Not only was I very well taught, but my ties with Authentic did not end after I graduation as with most other bartending schools. Jerry assisted me with creating my resume and guided me through the entire job-hunting process. Brian Armstead, the school’s Director, also offered me useful advice that has been proven to be valuable since I’ve entered the bartending industry. I utilize the job-placement program that the school offered and fortunately, I was able to find a job shortly after I began searching for one. XL Chelsea recently required all of our employees to participate in Authentic Bartending School’s T.I.P.S. class. This class is an alcohol and liability awareness program. I believe that this class will prove extremely beneficial to our establishment and I highly recommend it.
Steve Klein was great and he really connected with our employees. He is very knowledgeable in the bar industry and made everyone understand the importance of the class by giving them examples of true incidents which he had experienced. XL is an extremely high volume tri-level bar, therefore the information from this class is very valuable. I will definitely require future employees to take this class. A bar’s employees job is more than just serving drinks, bar safety and knowledge of what the bar and employee are liable for are equally important.

Since the end of my classes I have been contacted by the job placement staff many times. They have given me great job leads that have resulted in great bartending positions. The job placement program that your school provides is fantastic! It not only gives prospective students incentive to join your school, it really, really works! Every great lead and bartending position that I have had is a result of your job placement program and the recruiter!
As for the staff, Charlene is a godsend! She is extremely competent and great at what she does. In fact, your entire staff is made up of terrific teachers and wonderful individuals who treat the students with respect and kindness. They were all great to work with and they continue to be extremely kind and helpful!
